Davis-Rairdan International is the marketing division of Davis-Rairdan Embryo Transplants. To date, Davis-Rairdan has exported beef cattle embryos to the USA, Australia, Argentina, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Mexico, Brazil, Uruguay, England, Germany, Hungary, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Japan, China, Ireland, Scotland, Russia, Colombia, Panama and the Czech Republic. Davis-Rairdan has developed a close relationship with a network of E.T. companies around the world who perform quality E.T. work. Dr. Davis has been involved with the training of veterinarians in the field of E.T. from Australia, New Zealand, Mexico, Colombia and China. This combination of networking and technology transfer as been instrumental to the success and longevity of Davis-Rairdan's international clientele.

Davis-Rairdan International was founded by Dr. Roger L. Davis and Dr. D. Scott Rairdan. Dr. Davis grew up in Saskatchewan raising registered Angus and later Polled Hereford beef cattle. Dr. Rairdan was raised in Alberta on a large grain farm where they also raised purebred Charolais. The professional careers of Dr. Davis & Dr. Rairdan began immediately upon their university graduation, with the 1980 incorporation of Davis-Rairdan Veterinary Services Ltd. Their practice at that time was limited to large animal veterinary medicine and embryo transplants.

  The company evolved into an embryo transplant and reproduction specialty practice, thus named Davis-Rairdan Embryo Transplants Ltd. Due to the untimely death of Dr. Rairdan in June of 1995, Dr. Davis is now the sole principal and President and is continuing to direct the expansion and operations of the company.

 At Davis-Rairdan, we are involved in a joint marketing arrangement with our clients. This means we are able to make accessible genetics that would otherwise never be made available. Some of the most elite donor females from North America's finest seedstock producers are offered, many on a one-time only basis. These are highly proven females, many mothers of breed leaders. Most donors have been used in our client's ET programs to improve the genetics of their herd.

  To these elite donors, we mate the breed's finest sires, keeping in mind our objective of the essentials; calving ease, maternal power, and of course performance to balance the E.P.D.'s. As we breed the best to the best, this may be the opportunity to improve the genetics of your herd.

Davis-Rairdan Embryo Transplants Ltd. currently enjoys a large market share of domestic beef cattle embryo transplant business in Western Canada, implanting an average of 2000 embryos annually. We operate two fully-equipped mobile laboratories, providing on-farm service anywhere in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

  The Davis-Rairdan Embryo Transplant Center is located 30 minutes north of the Calgary International Airport, Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Our donor facility was opened in 1997 and is home to the Davis-Rairdan offices, lab, donor care, embryo collection and storage facility.The Davis-Rairdan transplant team is certified by the Canadian Embryo Transfer Association (CETA), and Accredited by the Canada Food Inspection Agency for the production of beef cattle embryos for export anywhere in the world.

  Davis-Rairdan is a member of the Canada Beef Breeds Council (CBBC), Canadian Embryo Transfer Association (CETA), and the International Embryo Transfer Association (IETS).

  Davis-Rairdan Embryo Transplants performs domestic embryo transplant services for many of the "elite" purebred cattle breeders in Western Canada. This allows Davis-Rairdan to continually select top quality donor cows from these herds and mate them to the top bulls in the industry to produce genetics that are custom designed to fit the requirements for various international markets.
