The Scott Rairdan Foundation Charity Golf Classic was started as a fundraiser in 1998. The response was so enthusiastic that it has become an annual event. Business people, cattle breeders, veterinarians and friends from all across Canada have joined each year for a great day of fun and fellowship while raising money for a very worthy cause. It is quickly becoming one of the "Not to Miss" events each summer.

The 2000 Charity Golf Classic was held at the Carstairs Community Golf Course August 14, 2000. It was a great success raising over $30,000 for the foundation to support youth and agriculture and provided a wonderful day to golf with friendly competition for those celebrating Scott Rairdan's memory.
